Peak Overview
Nepal’s Highest Trekking Peak — An Unmatched Summit View
Mera Peak (6,476m) is the highest trekking peak in Nepal and one of the most rewarding high-altitude experiences in the Himalayas. Unlike many technical peaks, Mera’s summit approach is non-technical for most of the route — making it accessible to well-prepared trekkers with good fitness and determination, while still delivering an authentic high-altitude mountaineering experience.
The summit of Mera Peak offers what many consider the finest panoramic view in the entire Himalaya — with five of the world’s six highest mountains visible simultaneously: Everest (8,849m), Kangchenjunga (8,586m), Lhotse (8,516m), Makalu (8,485m), and Cho Oyu (8,188m).
The approach passes through the remote and beautiful Hinku Valley — one of Nepal’s least-visited wilderness areas — crossing the spectacular Mera La pass (5,415m) before reaching base camp and the final summit snowfield. A truly unforgettable Himalayan adventure.
